Caroline Haigh

Bsc hons Dip Ac Cert CHM MBACC ATCM

Caroline runs a busy clinic and has been in practice for over 24 years having considerable experience in the acupuncture field. Caroline has undertaken extensive further postgraduate training including fertility acupuncture training in China. She is one of a small number of practitioners in the country to hold an ‘Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture’. As a Fertility Support trained acupuncturist Caroline undertakes at least monthly specialist CPD with renowned leaders from the international fertility field. This enables her to keep abreast of developments in all aspects of male and female fertility. Further postgraduate training includes Facial/Cosmetic Acupuncture and the treatment of pain amongst many other areas of expertise. She is a qualified Supervisior and Mentor, offering formal support to other acupuncturists and those from the wider complementary therapy field. Caroline offers supervision to newly qualified and new into practice acupuncturists via The Hub, part of the Northern College of Acupuncture's ongoing professional development community.

Caroline is a lecturer to acupuncture practitioners including Zita West affiliated fertility practitioners from around the UK and Ireland and has a wealth of experience in the area of fertility and pregnancy support .

Caroline is a registered Acupuncturist and member of The British Acupuncture Council and has undergone full Acupuncture training. She is also qualified in Chinese Herbal Medicine and is a member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture UK. She is on a voluntary register that has been accredited by The Professional Standards Authority. Set up to improve standards and safety, accreditation demonstrates a commitment to high professional standards. Prior to working in the Acupuncture profession, Caroline worked in the mental health field. This involved direct client support as well as managing, supervising and supporting teams and whole services. Caroline was also involved in planning and providing training in mental health and a wide variety of other issues across a large social care organisation. She currently works alongside Anxiety UK and the British Acupuncture Council offering acupuncture for a current research project into the benefits of anxiety from acupuncture.

Rachael English

BSc hons

Rachael is a qualified acupuncturist and registered member of the British Acupuncture Council. She studied at Leeds Beckett University where she graduated in 2011 with a BSc Hons in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture. Rachael has worked in private practice since graduating and regularly undertakes postgraduate training.

Her approach to treating clients in concerned with integrating the mind and body to cultivate a greater awareness of how lifestyle can influence the body.

Rachael has several areas of special interest. These include: • Natural Conception • Infertility, Assistance during and preparation for IVF/IUI/OI • Donor egg support • Polycystic ovarian syndrome and Amenorrhea • Low ovarian reserve, High FSH • Chronic fatigue/wellbeing • Stress management • Anxiety • Migraine/headache • The management of pain
