Facial Acupuncture is a painless, non-surgical method aiming to reduce signs of the ageing process. Treatment involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into particular areas of the body.
It aims to correct the signs of ageing by treatment to the face and neck, and by addressing the underlying causes of why an individual is specifically manifesting the ageing process the way they are.
Although sometimes referred to as ‘Acupuncture Facelift’, it is more than a cosmetic approach, designed to help the face as well as the whole body look and feel younger.
Acupuncture has been used for almost 5000 years to treat a wide range of conditions. As early as 960AD, facial acupuncture practices were employed for the Empress in China. Recently it has received favourable publicity internationally both in the media and television.

Facial Acupuncture looks at fine lines and deeper wrinkles, at muscle tone in the face and neck, aiming to firm the skin and fill out wrinkles. Fine lines may be entirely eliminated and deeper lines diminished. Muscle tone and dermal contraction can be improved in the face and neck.
An initial consultation will consider beauty from a whole body perspective and identify whether any underlying imbalances need also to be addressed. Results are apparent from just a few sessions.
People also comment that skin conditions such as acne improve, healthy facial colouring is restored and there can be a tightening of pores. Stress and habitual lines which can be so visible on the face can be transformed, resulting in a remarkably younger, calmer and less worn looking face.
It is safe, virtually painless with few side effects or risk of disfigurement. There is usually no recovery period with swelling and discolouration since there is minimal trauma. While it cannot reshape one's nose or chin, it does offer a more subtle and natural look whilst also improving overall health. People will start to comment how well you look.
Inner beauty, vitality and serenity: all these very obvious benefits manifest in the appearance
Many pre-existing health conditions may be assisted, since Acupuncture works by treating the whole body and addressing the underlying causes of health and ageing from a Traditional Chinese Medical perspective.
Anyone concerned with looking and feeling younger and slowing down the ageing process can benefit from facial acupuncture. Treatment is suitable for those with deep wrinkles, fine lines, bags under the eyes, facial sagging, puffiness, drooping eyelids, double chin, large pores, dry skin or acne.
Generally a course of treatment consists of 12 sessions, usually at weekly intervals. Following the initial course of treatment, monthly maintenance sessions can prolong the results.
Prices are agreed on the basis of a consultation to determine the nature and amount of facial work required. Session prices vary between £45 - £80. Please feel free to contact the clinic with an informal enquiry. .
